Of mice, memory and audible things
Nature posts this fascinating story of memory observed - yes, really - in mice. It lends credence to the idea that idle times are creative periods, necessary for our minds to catch up with events and to lodge important ideas in our heads. I've more than once walked away from a research session in front of the computer screen -- usually a very stimulating time -- only to have an idea or two arrive unexpectedly after a brief period.
It makes a kind of knocking sound. And you?
Hat tip to BusinessPundit for the Nature link.
