BIO
Jeffrey Jamner has a broad background in arts education and creative programming. He has been the Director of School Programs at The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts since 1998, where he has helped create, develop and direct such programs as Arts Academies for teachers, the Gheens Great Expectations young artist concert and residency program, World Rhythms education programs and cultural marketplace, and the Arts in Healing program which trains and places artists in residencies for patients, families, and staff in hospitals and other places of healing. Prior to his work at The Kentucky Center, Jeff worked in the Educational ArtReach Department at the Manhattan School of Music, where his work involved training conservatory music students to do educational outreach programs in New York City schools. He has presented about arts education at national and regional conferences including the Association of Performing Arts Presenters and Performing Arts Exchange and co-taught a course in the role of education in arts administration at the University of Kentucky.
