BIO

Brent Green is a self-taught animator and artist who lives and works in Pennsylvania. His work has been seen at the last four Sundance Film Festivals, the J. Paul Getty Center, the Warhol Museum, the Walker Arts Center, DiverseWorks, Rotterdam International Film Festival and the Orange Show for Visionary Art, among other museums and festivals around the world. An Evening with Brent Green has been presented at the Kitchen, the IFC Center, the Hammer Museum and EMPAC. Green’s work has been reviewed in The New York Times, Artforum, Village Voice, Art in America, Filmmaker Magazine, The New Yorker and Bomb Magazine. His Creative Capital-supported project, Paulina Hollers (2006), is a stop-motion animated Appalachian folk tale that follows a mother’s struggles after her son is killed by a passing car. Green recently released his first feature-length film, Gravity Was Everywhere Back Then (2010).
