Small infrastructure, loosely joined

In a recent Boston Globe article, Ethan Zuckerman described why to build big it's often necessary to think small, an elaboration on infrastructure and development ideas he's been writing about since TED Global in Arusha, Tanzania. Having spent a good deal of time working with telecommunications professionals, "How mobile phones might wire Africa" is one post of his that I remember in particular.

The big idea? Incrementalism.
