"Crap circles:" magical realism

John Cheever once wrote a short story that he called the Geometry of Love that I read while in college. Cheever imagined love in geometric shapes, which he could describe in the same world-weary and strangely audible prose -- surely I wasn't the only one -- that would later be called magical realism. With that in mind, I direct you to Harvard Business Review's "Crap Circles." The whole article will cost you, but the executive summary is available here. Sorry, I couldn't resist. And yes, I make odd connections.
