Admitting creativity

Business Innovation Insider points out that Tufts is now considering creative potential in its admissions policy. As reported in Inside Higher Ed, the move might be catching elsewhere as schools compete to admit the best and the brightest - meaning that perfect GPA and stratospheric test score might not be the only things on the mind of admissions officers. One backer of the move said it was important "to expand the way we think of student ability."

Knowing as we now do of the importance of creativity in problem solving, getting ahead may mean getting creative - in that admissions essay, not the SAT.
