Shel Holtz points out that Rocketboom's announcement that it would use EBay to auction ad space caused far more ruckus than the ad itself. Guilty.Interestingly, Rocketboom also produced the ad for the winning buyer, which leads Holtz to this thought:
...the ad fits seamlessly with the whole Rocketboom ethos. Regular viewers of Rocketboom will not skip the ad because the ad is part of Rocketboom, not an irrelevant interruption.
