This category buster from Brian Eno shows that even the musically challenged, like me, can create music using a brand new, and until now, unknown, instrument - the iPhone. Instead of tying notes to teeny-tiny keys as past applications might have tried, thanks to the phone's form this software goes a completely different route and uses the blank screen as a visual and musical canvas. Opening the application generates an ambient hum for background. Tap the screen in various places and different notes play. Stop tapping and the music you've created goes on, gradually changing form.
Even the motion sensing properties of the phone are being put to good use. Tired of the music you've just tapped out? Shake side-to-side like an Etch-a-Sketch to start over. Genius. See Gizmodo for more.
