In reading through the October 2005 issue of Fast Company Magazine last night I took particular note of the piece on "The New MBA's". The article discusses the fact that many emerging business professionals are coming to their craft not by the MBA route but through many different academic paths like philosophy or fine arts. I don't think this is a fad....but a trend that will only accelerate. Increasingly, successful companies are realizing that to be truly innovative requires a mix of perspectives and ideas. There is no useless knowledge and the answers are everywhere.
