Finding form in text and wind

I really enjoy how Text Rain marries the conceptual with the physical in this YouTube video. Camille Utterback co-created the piece and says that "howwe use our bodies to create abstract symbolic systems, and how these systems (language for example) have reverberations on our physical self" is the focus of of work. I think it pairs nicely with the work of Ned Kahn, who appeared at IF in September, and who rather than teasing out the elements of symbolic systems, sculpts the aesthetics of natural systems in the world. In both, the immaterial finds its shape.

Text Rain now resides permanently at the Louisville hotel and gallery, 21c, which was recently mentioned in this USA Today article.
