Keynote Speaker: Charles Fishman
Tuesday, September 24
9:00am - 5:00pm
Join us for the 2nd Annual IF Water Conference as we explore fascinating questions and ideas centered around the Earth's most powerful and precious resource - water. This interactive event will be at the Muhammad Ali Center in downtown Louisville on Tuesday, September 24th
We are excited to welcome Keynote Speaker Charles Fishman, author of The Wal-Mart Effect, the first book to crack open Wal-Mart’s wall of secrecy and “Book of the Year” by The Economist. Fishman will be discussing his recent work, The Big Thirst, a surprising and mind-changing narrative that explores how water runs our world in a host of awe-inspiring ways, yet we take it completely for granted. Fishman is a former metro and national reporter for the Washington Post, and he has worked for the innovative business magazine Fast Company since 1996. He has won numerous awards, including three times receiving UCLA’s Gerald Loeb Award, the most prestigious award in business journalism.
Additionally, the IF Water Conference will submerge participants in one intensively interactive day of addressing issues facing the world of water. Through virtual and hands on interaction, attendees will experience exhibits of worldwide water collaboration, brainstorming discussions that address frontline water issues, and thought provoking question and answer conversations lead by renowned water activists. This conference will sync YOUR ideas with a global network of water leaders and create the wave of momentum to put these ideas into actions.
IF Water Conference advance tickets are now on sale for $50 for adults and $15 for students. Ticket price includes lunch. Tickets will go up to $60 for adults beginning August 1st. Seating is limited!
IF Water is presented by WaterStep in conjunction with the 2013 IdeaFestival®,
