Dan Lubbers (www.danlubbers.com)  is an artist primarily based in his native home, Louisville, KY where he graduated from Bellarmine University with a double-major in Psychology & Sculpture in Fine Arts. A passion of traveling, rock climbing and love of the outdoors has led Lubbers to various places around the world like performing service work in Guatemala in 2006. Through his photographic adventures and a love of the arts he has landed published images in National Geographic Adventure, Rock & Ice, Climbing Magazine, Urban Climber Magazine & Dead Point Magazine. Netting clients like Redbull, La Sportiva & Prana. Lubbers shooting philosophy starts with light - “Without light, there’s no image to photograph” - and includes an emphasis on composition and experimentation. Lubbers states, “When shooting a pro-athlete, it’s all about action and timing.” Lubbers photographs are usually very dark, high contrast with vivid colors conveying the athlete in the essence of their sport pushing their physical limits.
